What is UCR?

It is a tax that must be paid by carriers crossing interstate lines, this tax is paid based on the number of trucks that are registered in your SAFER (DOT/FMCSA/MCS-150).
This tax is paid each year that you leave your state.

   • Businesses that do not own commercial vehicles but arrange for the transportation of goods also need to register.
     
     
2. Purpose: The UCR program replaces the Single State Registration System (SSRS) and creates a unified registration and fee collection system for the states that participate in the program. The fees collected are used to support safety programs and enforcement activities related to commercial vehicles.
